was talking to a friend at hanchiko inc { hd colour graphics company} and he told me that they have been approached by sony to give suggestions on how best to create a gaming system that can work on normal/hd/3d tv,s ......this happend 2 days after samsung released there 3d tv range in the u.s.........i noticed this website and thouhgt id try get you guys some info........after talking to a few friends at hanchiko ive been told that sony want to create a new game system that is for now codenamed sp-iv.apparently they want this games system to be able to be played on any tv including the upcoming 3d tv,s and instead of selling games on disc they want to use an online service were players pay a certain amount per hour to play a game , as far as i can tell a % of this goes to sony and the rest to the game manufacturer the playstation will therfore require internet access....there main reason for this seems to be that the new games would be open to piracy if on a disc though thats all the info i could get about that.

there are also rumours that sony may ask apple to have some input into this gaming system...thouhg what they want them to do is a mystery to even apple for now.

Some very interesting information there, however i'm sure that sony will keep disk based games, just imagine if sony did not have a games console that did not allow you to play disk based game but microsoft did, i would go for the next xbox as my internet connection is really slow. Also i hope that in the PS4 the system handles the 3D instead of it being a game by game basis, just like anyone can do today with a bit of money for a 120hz monitor and a Nvida graphics card.
The only time i've seen PS3 and piracy in the same sentence is when they say that the PS3 is the only console of this generation that has not been pirated.

I am highly doubted of ps4 will come along a 3d version. May be as beta but that could. And regarding using with all kind of TV i don't agree on this point as analog and old TV doesn't really support much of DPI as HDTV does so it's a time to batter upgrade.

There is a cloud based gaming system being released for internet enabled televisions. Details of pricing structures should come out at E3 this year. No idea on what kind of titles they will have available yet, but that will also get announced at E3. It would be a really interesting time for gaming at the moment. I am also looking forward to it as the critics have made good feedbacks and are also looking forward to its success in the market.

I believe that we shoudln't be talking about 3D on a TV. I am hearing 3D as in holographics. Here is my thinking: Using EyeCam tech your body will be tracked. The tech can be improved for this in the future as things go along. As for the holographics, I'm thinking its a mix of projection and illusion. I think the lasers will project on a grid on the walls of a room and then by adding 3d glasses it will create the illusion. It makes sense with the holographic rumors going around and the lasers won't hurt the players eyes. the real question is movement in the physical realm so that the player doesn't hit the wall.
